Our Use Case:
We are a documentary film production company tanukifilms focusing on social, human rights and creative documentary. This project is called “Tell me about mom”. We want to animate the childhood photos of our characters (who are now all adult women, mothers and grandmothers) – with slight, completely wholesome animation: bring the childhood versions of our film characters to sit in the interview chair in the studio, listen to the interview questions, react a little – nod, or be bored, or smile a bit. That’s it, minor natural movements and small reactions.
Thus we are utilizing Veo’s image-to-video capabilities to animate historical childhood photographs of our main documentary subjects (who are all now grown, consenting adult women).
Our Ethical and Legal Guardrails:
1. Consent & Releases: All childhood photographs have been provided directly by the subjects themselves. We hold fully executed legal release forms from every subject granting explicit permission to use, process, and animate their childhood likenesses for this film.
2. Safety & Wholesomeness: The content is entirely historical and family-safe. We do not generate any synthetic or fictional child characters, nor do we depict children in any harmful, commercial, or unsafe situations.
3. Data Governance: Original photos and generated outputs are managed on a secure local production pipeline.
4. Compliance: Our film complies with all local data privacy regulations.
