Here is how to fix the Anti-Gravity quota issues<<<

A lot of people seem to be experiencing the “quota refresh limit” issue, where quotas are getting exhausted even when the models have barely been used. Several users are also being told to wait about 7 days, until around March 19, before the quota resets.

I am not sure what the exact cause is yet, but it might be related to the recent Anti-Gravity update (version 1.20.5).

This version introduced a new feature in Settings → Models, where there is now an AI Credits toggle. From what I noticed, you can enable it to use credits instead of the normal model quota.

When I tried enabling the AI credit option, the credits seemed to be consumed very quickly. After that, I started seeing quota errors and none of the models were responding properly anymore, including Gemini and Claude.

Because of that, I decided to test something.

I tried installing an older version of Anti-Gravity, specifically version 1.19.6, which was released around February 28. That version does not appear to include the AI credits option in the model settings.

After installing that version, the models started working normally again for me and the quota errors stopped appearing.

Because of this, I am wondering if the issue might be related to the newer update that introduced the AI credit feature.

One thing I did notice is that after installing the older version, the system may try to prompt an update back to the newer version. I have not yet found a reliable way to disable that update behavior.

So at the moment I am still testing and observing how it behaves.

Has anyone else experienced something similar after updating to version 1.20.5? It would be helpful to know if others are seeing the same behavior.

If this is a known issue with the latest update, it would be helpful to know if a fix is planned.

I’ve been using 1.19.6 almost exclusively. I am experiencing the rapid quota depletion (except for Flash) and extended lockouts described by others, and I am presented with the option to buy AI credits.

To disable auto updates go to “settings“ - “editor settings“. Then type “update“ and and choose “none“ in dropdown menu as shown on screenshot.

Clarification (verified with sources):

What people are calling a “bug” is actually an intentional change Google rolled out in late 2025: the system moved from a single 5-hour reset to two simultaneous limits — a 250-unit sprint resetting every 5 hours, plus a 2,800-unit weekly baseline. Both must be positive to keep working. If you exhaust the weekly limit on day 1, on day 6 you still have 24 hours left in the cycle — of course it’s still locked even if you “didn’t use anything that day.” The 5-hour timer keeps resetting, but it’s irrelevant if the weekly pool is empty. Most reported “bugs” are simply this misunderstanding. Google never explained it clearly. Key survival tips: never use Opus for everyday tasks — it burns 8x more quota than Sonnet and ~800x more than Gemini Flash. For daily work, Sonnet on fast mode with pinned context gives 40-80 active hours per week. Critical insight: Claude and Gemini run on completely separate quota pools — if Claude locks, Gemini Flash remains your escape hatch.

thanks @JInx for this info. it’ll help a lot of people to resolve the issue until next update…

Not my case, i was waiting the Pro hight/low refresh, it says 2 hrs, then 1 hrs, the… pum 180 hrs again.
This is the 3th time in 3 weeks, so unable to use hight/low pro model, only flash one.

I worked only one day with Opus, then…. never again. Even more, it was the first time i used Opus since i have antigravity and the google PRO subscription.

It´s working worse than the free version.

Just started using my weekly baseline, said it would reset in ~4 hours 59 minute…got about 1/3 of the way through the quota…now it says refresh in 75 hours. THis is first time back on antigravity in about a month so I know I’m fresh…..and last time around, it didn’t change from 5 to 75 in one quota line exhaustion. There is something definitely up here.

Same here. Quote for Claude models was exhausted last week and it say “Refreshes in 5 days”. Well, it is 6 days later and it still says “Refreshes in 5 days”. The Gemini quotas are back. I am on Pro plan btw. Why am I paying again? This feels like a scam.

// Edit: Im cancelling my Pro plan and will use the Claude CLI directly again

Having the exact same problems. It was working beautifully in the previous versions and I was able to create some really good apps. I have the pro subscription. But now, even if I stay 5 days with no use, by just typing a question I get the limit quota issue. Absolutely nosense.

Exactly the same happened to me. It said roughly 160 hours to wait. (little less than 7 days) I waited a little less than that (now on day 6 of waiting) and wanted to see when I can start using claude again. Surprise: Now it says 5 days and 18 hours. This would be a total of roughly 280 hours not being able to use claude in antigravity.

Nope, that’s not. Literally i was waiting 6 days for google pro high, when it finally refresh i used it for some stuff, 60% and refresh in 3h, that’s ok that’s nice, well like 8 later i checked and still 60% but you know what? boom: refresh in 3 days, so… im using 40% of my weekly credits with 5 or 6 calls in like 30 mins? i have IA pro btw.

Maybe this is how it’s intended to work, but that is absolutely not how it does work right now, unless you’re talking about Flash.

I haven’t been able to use Gemini Pro since March 8th in Antigravity. My current refresh timer doesn’t end until March 20th. That will be 11 days with zero additional “baseline” quota.

its time to end antigravity using.

This is very crazy and really worrying me as a developer who have come to fall in love with Anti gravity
