Despite being on a Google AI Pro Plan, the Antigravity IDE (v1.20.5) is misidentifying or treating my account as “Free Tier”. Observed Behavior: After only 2-3 chats, my quota was immediately exhausted. My “Models” settings page shows a refresh time of 3-7 days for high-intensity models (Claude 4.6, Gemini 3.1 Pro)
Ghost Usage: My quota appears to be depleting even when the IDE is idle.
It even behaves worse than what a free tier should behave even though I have pro plan.I mean, I literally chatted 2-3 times to fix a problem and it gave me the exhaustion warning in the middle of the task without even completely solving it.
I have now personally experienced the erroneous lockout for Google Gemini Pro.
I have been sitting patiently waiting for my multi-day lockout to end. It was 21m to availability about 30 minutes ago .. so I took a break and made some lunch. When I returned I am back to a 6d lockout .. no usage. This cannot be right .. can it?
Yes, a few months ago I used to use antigravity all day and still didn’t able to hit rate limits, now I barely use it though I get rate limits after 2 or 3 chats
The same happened to me. I had been waiting for the past 5 days + for my Gemini 3.1 Pro to refresh. Slept and woke up to a new 7 day lockout without even using it for a sec. You found any solutions or help??
No .. I have started looking for alternatives. I cannot operate with completely random and unpredictable behavior on the part of my vendor. Google is not addressing this onslaught of dissatisfaction, so I have to assume this is a plan gone awry and they a) not fixing it because this was the path; and b) did not expect this .. so don’t have an immediate response.
To provide you with greater control and a seamless path to scale, we are evolving our Google AI plans by introducing built-in AI credits that can now be utilized directly within Antigravity. Under this updated structure, our Google AI Pro tier is tailored for practical builders, offering generous limits for Gemini Flash alongside a baseline quota to experience our most advanced premium models. For developers operating at the highest scale who require consistent, high-volume access to our most complex models, Google AI Ultra serves as the ideal comprehensive solution.
Furthermore, we’ve designed these plans with maximum flexibility in mind; if you are on the Pro plan and require additional capacity or deeper premium access for intensive development sprints, you can seamlessly top up your AI credits to customize your limits and continue shipping your best work without interruption.
Same problem 1 week not being able to work…. and Well, thats changing conditions without considering that the only usable model for a pro job is Claude Sonnet / opus. Doing a complex task flash gets dizzy and overwhelmed and a Gemini 3.1 isnt smart (probably worst than 3.0, at least in antigtravity). Gemini has destroyed my work several times and the global rules I have to entablish are more thank 3 pages, to avoid that. (trial and error) They only manage simple tasks (simple in the context of 1 program, in a suite gets completely lost, probably memory problems, so if this is the policy, I believe, I will move to Claude code. Claude models are absolutely amazing, flash is very good starting new code in fact is fast and effective, but it is necessary to move to new sessions constantly to avoid hallucination and unexpected behaviors. regarding Gemini 3.1 High in antigravity is clearly much much dumber than gemini in AI studio which is near to sonnet 4.5. This is the landscape, clearly this new stuff is not a policy that deserves the people that pays….
hiyas - i’ve been doing what i can to provide support on this for a few days - short version, its a 7day security lockout not a 7day refresh. impossible to tell the difference on pretty much until you hit day 8.
i’ve been advising to set the default browser to have one chrome profile only and in that only one google login, the one you’re using ai pro with antigravity.
all your multiaccount workflow like email and drive, chuck it into firefox or edge or something - or use chrome canary so you can have 2 chromes, just make sure that single account one is the AI Pro and default browser. when your refresh day comes - it will actually refresh.
i wish i could copy paste answer and help everyone as fast as possible haha but i’m sure the mods here would axe me faster than a… fast thing or whatever
if you’re on mac the default account is a bit different…. but feel free to check out the post, i go into a lot of detail on my theories and theres dozens of different angles of helping different people you can read to see if any of that helps! this is the superest briefest version and i have to type it up all unique style every time let me know if you have any questions here there anywhere and i’ll do what i can to help answer questions and provide support.
Hi Also had the quotas problem - twice - when migrating from antigravity 1.19.6 to 1.20.6. Blocked for a period of 7 days, after update. Downgraded. Then quotas were not restored. I waited the period of 7 days and quotas was restored and I did try to update 1.20.06, without having used any model and for a second time all quotas were exhausted without me having used anything. I have a google AI pro subscription. I have sent a bug report via antigravity. I downgraded again and my quotas were still not restored. Now 2 days after downgrading and having my quotas blocked, I also had problems when the login was not working correctly (I appeared logged in but the IDE was still trying saying trying to authenticate). So, I decided for a clean state reinstalation. Deleted all configuration : ~/.config/Antigravity ~/.antigravity ~/.gemini (well my context anyway was lost already) ~/.local/share/antigravity /usr/bin/antigravity … well every place where I could find [aA]ntigravity and .gemini remains of applications. I cleaned the secret tools keyrings (i use fedora) , I cleaned all browser histories all browser where I had been logged in in google. Cleaned all installation cache, everything I could find really. Restarted pc. Then reinstalled version 1.19.6. tried to log in and well was partial complete - the authentication system did not really work completly in antigravity. so restarted again then logged in in google chrome and then restarted antigravity. Now problem seems to have been solved and my quotas (still had 5 days to wait) appear to have been restored and ready to help … but well, had to find all the gosts in the system (including dump, tmp files) - As you understood I am only an amator, but maybe this helps some of you fix the problem and google knowing where this does problem comes from.
I think I’m having the same problem. On top of that, I ran into a bug where the generation loop got stuck, which used up my quota and some of my credits, and now I have to wait 5 days (this is the second time this has happened), even though I’m a Pro user.
Google Support wasn’t any help.
Does anyone know if the tech team is aware of the issue?
The performance is completely unstable. One moment you can write a massive amount of text, the next a looping bug or a couple of simple cURL requests eat up the quota, but it doesn’t reset after 5 hours.
Also, I can’t find my weekly limits anywhere.
I have no idea what to go by.
Besides, I’m struggling with a personal, fairly simple text-based project—how do developers of complex systems manage?
i did reach out to the official teams responsible for this stuff at many different levels and capacities, unfortunately, they didn’t actually investigate the proof i sent, and threw it in the bucket with everyone generically complaining about the 7day timer instead of addressing it as an 8+day lockout.
i’m working on a few fixes that aren’t fast to produce and test, but i will probably develop a oneshot fix for this sooner than google officially. you’re absolutely right though. i believe the multi account is directly linked to the the “query spam” or “generation loop”.
