Error #3501 – "You do not have a valid license" on personal Google account

Subject: Error #3501 – “You do not have a valid license” on personal Google account

Hello Google Antigravity Team,

I am encountering the following error when trying to use Antigravity (both IDE and CLI):

“You do not have a valid license of this product. Please contact your administrator to request a license. If you are not an enterprise user and believe you are receiving this message as an error, please try using the latest version and logging in again. (#3501)”

Account affected: [YOUR_EMAIL@gmail.com]
Antigravity version: 2.17.0

Troubleshooting already done:

  • Updated to the latest version (2.17.0) – issue persists
  • Signed out and signed back in – issue persists
  • Confirmed I am not using any VPN or proxy
  • Tested with a different personal Google account on the same device/network – it worked fine

This confirms the issue is specific to my account’s licensing/entitlement status on Google’s side, not a client, network, or version issue. My account is a personal Gmail account, not part of any Google Workspace or enterprise organization.

Error ID: 3c9d898f-556a-4ead-8178-158053a976d2-168-1001

Could you please manually review my account’s entitlement and restore access? Thank you for your help.

Best regards,

Hi @QW_AQ,

Welcome to the Foum,

I see that you already updated to version 2.17.0 and tried signing out. However, another user who experienced this exact same error today confirmed that specifically doing a manual installation using the latest .exe or .dmg release file, and then re-logging in, resolved the issue for them.

If your previous update was done via the in-app updater, could you try manually downloading and installing the latest release from the official releases page to see if that clears the #3501 error for you?

If you already did a manual install or if doing so still doesn’t fix it, please let us know.
