Subject: Antigravity Error #3501 — Personal Gmail account incorrectly reports “No valid license”

Hello Google Antigravity Support,

I am experiencing Error #3501 / License Required in Antigravity when using a personal Gmail account.

Problem

Antigravity reports:

“You do not have a valid license of this product. Please contact your administrator to request a license. If you are not an enterprise user and believe you are receiving this message as an error, please try using the latest version and logging in again. (#3501)”

This is a personal Gmail account, not an enterprise-managed account. The same account was working approximately four days earlier.

Version

  • OS: Windows

  • Antigravity version: 2.17.0

  • Installation path: C:\Users\RaoufKhouri\AppData\Local\Programs\Antigravity\

  • language_server.exe exists and is approximately 163 MB.

Troubleshooting already performed

  1. Confirmed Antigravity is running the current 2.17.0 version.

  2. Removed the stored Windows credential:
    LegacyGeneric:target=gemini:antigravity

  3. Reset Antigravity’s Session Storage.

  4. Signed in again with the personal Gmail account.

  5. Tested changing the server.

  6. Restarted Antigravity.

  7. The problem persists.

Relevant backend evidence

The Antigravity language_server.log shows a direct request to Google’s Code Assist backend:

September 27, 2026 at 15:00:38

https://daily-cloudcode-pa.googleapis.com/v1internal:retrieveUserQuotaSummary

The server responds:

  • HTTP status: 403

  • Status: PERMISSION_DENIED

  • Reason: SUBSCRIPTION_REQUIRED

  • Error number: 1001

  • Antigravity error: #3501

The exact response states:

“You do not have a valid license of this product… (#3501)”

The log also shows that Antigravity subsequently continues communicating with the Code Assist backend through fetchAvailableModels and loadCodeAssist, so the application is able to reach Google’s servers.

Request

Could you please check the Google-side entitlement/subscription status for this personal Gmail account and determine why it is being returned as SUBSCRIPTION_REQUIRED?

In particular, please check whether the account is incorrectly missing or being incorrectly routed to an enterprise/paid-license entitlement despite being a personal Gmail account.

I can provide the relevant language_server.log if required.

Thank you.

Evidence from the log

The strongest evidence is the actual backend response at 15:00:38: HTTP 403, SUBSCRIPTION_REQUIRED, and Error #3501.

The log subsequently records successful requests to the Code Assist endpoints fetchAvailableModels and loadCodeAssist, showing that the language server continues communicating with Google’s backend.

Important: I deliberately did not include the CSRF tokens or host-bridge tokens appearing elsewhere in the log. Those aren’t needed for support and shouldn’t be publicly shared.

I can provide the relevant language_server.log file if required.

Hi @Raouf_Khouri,

Thank you for the detailed report.

Please try the following steps:

  1. Manually Install Antigravity 2.0 v2.18.1: A newer version (v2.18.1, see the Changelog) is now available with fixes for Google Sign-In and incomplete enterprise sign-in states. Please manually download and run the latest .exe installer from the official download page (rather than using the in-app updater), and sign in selecting your personal @gmail.com account (not Enterprise or Google Cloud).
  2. Check for AGY_ADC_AUTH Environment Variables: Verify that AGY_ADC_AUTH (Google Cloud Application Default Credentials) is not set in your Windows user or system environment variables, as this forces Antigravity to route requests through enterprise license validation. If present, remove it and restart the app.
  3. Verify Region Association & VPN/Proxy Settings: When the backend rejects a connection due to geographical availability restrictions, it returns the misleading 403 SUBSCRIPTION_REQUIRED / #3501 license error. Please confirm your location is supported, check that your account’s associated country on the Google Terms of Service page (and Age Verification) is accurate, and disable any active VPN or proxy.
  4. If the Issue Persists on v2.18.1: Please let us know your country/region and attach your redacted language_server.log in a .txt file (or an error screenshot), or submit a report via the in-app Send Feedback button.
