My app was originally published at hour-sheet.ai.studio. After renaming it to WorkNest and publishing again, the app is now available at worknestapp.ai.studio, but Google AI Studio reports that the original URL is unavailable.
My existing Cloud Run service is hour-sheet in us-west1, in Google Cloud project hour-sheet-7467a. The current URL mapping is working, but the old URL does not appear in the Cloud Run domain mappings.
Could you investigate whether the original AI Studio URL is reserved or associated with a stale deployment, and advise how to restore it to my existing app without interrupting the current deployment or affecting Firebase Authentication and Firestore data?
Hello @Unloved,
https://hour-sheet.ai.studio is still actively serving an earlier Hour Sheet deployment, which is why Google AI Studio reports that subdomain as unavailable (custom .ai.studio subdomains are globally unique across all projects and regions).
- Check your AI Studio Apps page (and any other Google Cloud projects or Cloud Run regions you may have deployed to) for a separate
Hour Sheet app or deployment that still holds hour-sheet.ai.studio. Per Custom URLs for AI Studio, unpublishing or deleting only that separate older deployment releases its .ai.studio URL so you can set it on WorkNest and republish.
- Updating the Custom URL on your existing
WorkNest app in AI Studio only updates the .ai.studio domain routing and does not delete Firebase Authentication users or Firestore data in your project (hour-sheet-...), as long as you keep your active WorkNest app and its Cloud Run service in place (do not delete your active hour-sheet Cloud Run service or remix the app).
- If you do not see a separate
Hour Sheet app in your Apps list, please share the Applet ID of your WorkNest app and a screenshot of the Publish panel showing the unavailable URL message so we can investigate further.
