Hi everyone,
I’m using AI Studio to analyze videos of user behavior in car infotainment systems (both visual and audio). I used to upload unlisted YouTube videos (even 30 minutes long) with detailed prompts and everything worked fine.
Recently, I’ve been getting internal error messages, even with shorter videos (~19 min, ~200 MB). It now seems to only accept public and muh shorter/smaller videos, and fails to process others.
I typically use a 3-page prompt and need to analyze multiple videos this way. Has anyone faced similar issues or found a workaround? Is this a temporary bug or a limitation I should be aware of?
Hi @Tereza_Manisova, I think you can only upload public videos (not private or unlisted videos). Could you please try by uploading a public video url instead of unlisted video url and let us know if you are facing the same error or not. Thank You.
Hello, thank you for your reply.
Yes, public videos are working now, but two days ago, even public videos weren’t working. It’s strange because unlisted videos used to work for me as well.
Anyway, my main question is: Is there any limit on video size or length especially when uploading it together with a long prompt?
Right now, I’m trying to upload a one-hour-long video, and it’s not working again, even though it’s set to public.
I I’ve read that for longer videos it might be better to use Vertex AI—is that correct?
Or is there another solution you’d recommend for working with such long videos?
Thank you.
Hi @Tereza_Manisova, For 1 million context window models you can use a video of length upto 1hr. The video and prompt tokens should be in the model input token limit.
Could you please elaborate more on what you mean by not working like are you facing any error/performance issue etc.
