The issue in Google AI Studio regarding video analysis (both uploaded video files and YouTube video links) has been ongoing for over a month - since the integration of Google AI Studio with the Google One AI Pro/Ultra subscription.
I’m not using paid API key. I’m using my AI Pro/Ultra subscription quota.
No matter which model I use, whenever I attempt to upload a video file or process a YouTube link in a chat, the interface displays the generic message: “An internal error has occurred.”.
Looking at the Network tab in the Chrome developer tools, the backend response says: “per-user quota requests cannot use project-scoped features such as files”
But it works perfectly fine in Free tier!
The issue only affects users with an active AI Pro/Ultra subscription. On the Free tier, the exact same video uploads and YouTube links process without any issues. This bug essentially penalizes paying subscribers, preventing them from using core multimodal features in AI Studio.
There have been multiple posts on this forum and Reddit regarding this bug, but the issue remains unresolved.
So my question is - will this issue ever be solved? Thanks.
