Tier 2 Upgrade Button Not Appearing Despite Meeting All Documented Requirements - Case #68080387

I meet all documented Tier 2 requirements but the Upgrade button does not appear on the API keys page.

Current tier: Paid Tier 1

Per the docs (https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/docs/rate-limits#usage-tiers):
Tier 2 requires: “Total spend: > $250 and at least 30 days since successful payment”

My status:

  • Total cumulative spend: $262+
  • First successful payment: January 7, 2026 (42 days ago)
  • Both criteria met

The “Upgrade” button described in the “How to upgrade” section does not appear. I’ve submitted the rate limit increase form, opened case #68080387 with billing
support, and spoken with two agents — both confirmed they cannot access the tier system.

Billing support suggested the 30 days counts from when I reached $250 (February), not from my first payment (January). But the documentation says “30 days since
successful payment” — not “30 days since reaching $250.” If the system works differently than documented, the docs need to be corrected.

This is blocking a production application launch. Can a Googler please review and either upgrade my project.

Google’s system is awful. I might migrate all my production to another provider. You cannot run stable app’s with current Google system. This is stupid
