Tier 1 to Tier 2 Upgrade for Gemini API

Hello folks,

I am struggling with Tier 1 Rate Limits.

I had $300 in Credits, and have spent ~$320 already.

Tier 2 Eligibility Criteria is $250 + 30 days since successful payment.

2 queries:

  1. Is the 30 days since the first payment?
  2. Is debit from credits counted as payment? Or $250 needs to be spent apart from the $300 credit?

Since you are in Tier 1, the Billing account is already Set up for you.
Can you clarify once that $300 credits you put for tier1 and used $320 and now upgrading to Tier2??

Answer for your first query i guess 30 days since the upgrade.
For 2nd one I will double check and confirm.

    — I didn’t get your response “Answer for your first query i guess 30 days since the upgrade.”, since which upgrade? Do you mean movement from Free Tier to Tier 1?

Hey @Jainesh, Thanks for sharing the usage, that is helpful. I will double check and get back to you. My answer was for migration from Tier1 to Tier2. Now, got more clarity.

Me too, I have already spent the time and money to reach tier 2 but the option to upgrade does not appear, I have also tried to request it via the form but got no answer. I wonder if it’s due to us paying in non-USD currency and that not being converted. If someone could help us manually that would be great cause if not I will end up needing another provider with a more straightforward rate limit tier (I don’t want to do it cause gemini 2.5 pro is awesome)
