Sudden "Region/Age" restriction in Google AI Studio

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out because I’ve suddenly lost access to Google AI Studio. It was working perfectly fine until recently, but now I’m being redirected to the “not available in your region or age requirements” page - https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/docs/available-regions

Here are my details:

Current Location: Spain (which is a supported region).
Age: I am over 18 years old.
Account Type: Personal Gmail account (not Workspace/Corporate).

What I’ve already tried:

  1. Checked my IP address — it correctly shows Barcelona, Spain.

  2. Tried accessing the site via Incognito mode (same issue).

  3. Cleared browser cache and cookies.

  4. Disabled all VPN/Proxy services.

Since I am physically in a supported region and meet all the requirements, this seems like a technical error in how my account or location is being detected.

Could someone from the team please look into this or advise on how to reset this “block”? What should I do now?

Thanks for reporting this issue. Could you kindly check if you’ve verified your age (18+) on your Google account’s personal page? Also, please ensure that your account is not managed by a school or company, and confirm whether it’s restricted by a Family Group administrator.

Thank you for the advice! I uploaded my ID and everything is working now. It was quite sudden, though, as I never received any prior warnings about my age being unverified.
