Project stuck on Free Tier dropdown despite $22.00 Prepay Balance

"Hello, my project Gemini Project is stuck under the ‘Free’ tier dropdown on the AI Studio billing page, despite having a successful $22.00 prepaid credit balance added on July 6th. Clicking ‘Activate billing’ gives an ‘Error during billing setup’ toast. Please manually sync my project status.

this is a backend billing sync issue, not something moderators here can manually fix. best bet is going thru google cloud billing support directly with your billing account id so they can force the sync: https://support.google.com/cloud/answer/8564210
