Possible Global Quota Refresh! : Reboot/Restart Antigravity and Check! : Looping 7 Day Lockouts Over?

[UPDATE : DOZENS OF USERS WORLD WIDE NOW ON MULTIPLE FORUMS HAVE VERIFIED THIS GLOBAL RESET BETWEEN MARCH 20-21, IT DOES NOT WORK IF YOU HAVE NOT FOLLOWED THE GUIDE : MODS PLEASE STICKY THIS! ]

I’ve encountered one person in the forum here who got their updates to 5h reset today following the method, one person on reddit as well, and when i just checked myself - my final model recovering from 7day lockout loops went from about 22 hours to the 5 hours ready to go timer as it should be, which is a full day sooner than i expected since i started seeing positive refreshes on my models about 4/5 days ago. :tropical_drink:

If you don’t see updated quotas yet - ensure your default browser has one profile and one google login and that it matches the ai pro/ultra account you are using in antigravity. You can use chrome canary for example and set that as default system browser so that you don’t have to remove chrome profiles and also so you can still access emails and other things. This will probably work with other browsers, personally i use my normal chrome one account one profile one login and use edge and firefox for all my other accounts business, but the chrome canary method can work as well.

i don’t believe even a full reinstall should be necessary - at worst case, reboot your computer.

If you have other software that requires default browser to be linked to a different account, i would suggest to be very careful! Close antigravity, change your default browser, perform your signin for whatever other software thats necessary and then change your default browser back to the one with only the matching antigravity ai pro/plus account before launching antigravity. also - when browsers update and windows does updates, this can possibly change your default browser, thats pretty much all the major notes! :tada:

If you’ve followed the process and still see no change - you can also try a more aggressive approach, removing any additional quota extensions from antigravity, uninstalling antigravity, clearing the multiple cache folders in userdata/.gemini userdata/.antigravity and appdata/roaming and appdata/local/programs, rebooting and reinstalling (not as administrator). if you haven’t installed the chrome extension for antigravity you can do this as well.:piñata:

If that still doesn’t work you may be an edge case scenario! Please drop a message and i will gladly provide tailored assistance for your questions. :woman_dancing:

NOTE FOR MAC USERS : You will probably have to check your Settings/Accounts for your Mac OS and make sure you only have one Google account there, since its a bit different out there. :compass:

Hi, yesterday I was using Antigravity, and after using half of the quota bars, I waited 5 hours. The bars then showed as full again, with the 5-hour timer visible. Today, I woke up and saw this issue appear again, even though I hadn’t done any activity.

as the guide explains - you have account identity mismatch. you have multiple accounts in your default system browser, just follow the guide…

thats what i’ve been trying to warn people about - there might be moments where it “this is fine” but its really not.

google has been resetting the circuit breaker but if theres still a short in the wiring (aka multiple accounts in your default system browser) then the power goes out.

i’ve made literally dozens of metaphors to explain this - its not a “QUOTA” issue its a SECURITY issue because google is actively hunting down people abusing the services, so this means any user with multiple accounts is SUSPICIOUS. the ONLY WAY TO FIX THIS AS A USER is get your accounts “in compliance”, by using the workaround so that you can continue working.

listen if i could have things my way i would have this properly fixed by now - but this is the best i can do without a google salary, i can only explain what happened, why it happened, and what you can do to survive so your services are okay.

i know its tough to digest, but its a false equivalence that the 7 days doesn’t seem like it can mean anything else, but i’m tellin ya its different. If your car has a check engine light - and last time it was low on oil - does that mean check engine light is ALWAYS gonna mean low on oil. Literally theres not many places we can actually dive into stats, they aren’t very transparent with us.

anyways - it seems like they are doing some occassional security sweeps this weekend, and it is looking like its mapping out to a 12 hour silent security sweep which temporarily unlocks 7 day if you’re locked and maybe in compliance, but then 12 hours later if it detects multiple accounts - bam you’re back to locked and looking at 7 days. thats the latest update this weekend that i’ve been able to determine, not through any official statements but with my eyeballs and the information presented by scouring x, reddit, ai.google.dev forums…

Sorry man, but I don’t have multiple accounts. I just have one google account.

interesting - its not liking something hmm

worth a shot to clean browser cache if you’re on single browser… you could still always try a secondary browser anyways even it sounds ridiculous too… the extensions thing is something also where its such a mixed bag what might be in there - like maybe theres some rogueish extension google isn’t on good terms.

though its super possible its indexing and building a database, if the other stuff doesn’t work can try finding all the details on that, its been brought up a fair amount but the login thing really overshadowed the reports lately.

You were right, I got unbanned for 12 h and then got back to block, unfortunately I read your comment after second ban (which is already 3d wave i guess. I did as you told, got second browser, single account full reset, but it didnt help. Any other ideas?

well the wave is just a rough outline its not like they are dropping hammers on those days - its just tracking patient zero.

id you install the secondary browser like chrome beta/dev/canary edge beta/dev/canary firefox beta/dev/nightly - setting the default system browser to a new browser is super critical aspect of it.

so you tried the aggressive approach not skipping any steps?

If you’ve followed the process and still see no change - you can also try a more aggressive approach, removing any additional quota extensions from antigravity, uninstalling antigravity, clearing the multiple cache folders in userdata/.gemini userdata/.antigravity and appdata/roaming and appdata/local/programs, rebooting and reinstalling (not as administrator). if you haven’t installed the chrome extension for antigravity you can do this as well.:piñata:

i drafted up an image so it might be easier to follow and share or print lmk

I think the point is… we should not have to jump through hoops and do a little dance for Google when they are taking our hard earned cash. I did benefit from the hard reset Google pushed out but back to the 7 day restriction. Clearing cache is not an option as we use Google Workspace in the company so will just wait for Google to fix the bug. Working in WIndsurf at the moment which is a bit slower but does the same job

I don’t blame ya - its a total pain lately. I just like the challenge of trying to fight anomalies and entropy. Thats where it hits the hardest is on corporate workspace! I will say though - especially since you’re corporate, google workspace’s support teams are so awesome, always been the most contactable division of public facing google - they will very likely comp your company for the downtime in some way.

I use a few different services anyways - there is google jules which is the fully autonomous, send it a drive link or github, mostly reliable for a debugger or analyzer during the off hours. The normal upload doesn’t seem to work, a bit janky and super beta still though of course, far from IDE.

The straight Kimi is pretty cool, running as extension in VS Code, not breaking the bank. Trae is another one that’s pretty cool since they run a packaged IDE, similar to Antigravity but with a much more granularly transparent pricing and usage platform, kinda standard buy a credit bucket but you can see request count, cost per request, tokens per, exact dollar and cents value of each request. Available models there were Kimi and Claude. Of course - with Trae and Kimi both being located in China, that could be an issue with corporate depending on if they have government contracts.

How has Windsurf been treating you? Theres a lot i have yet to check out, Cursor, Codex… i’m still trying to get my local LLM dialed in for coding but i’m just spoiled on the amazing speeds everyone has to offer

@DuctTapedGoat, have you tried the Cline extension for VSCode?

omg i tried cline/roocode and a few others i thought it was terrible
but also i wasn’t doing paid api, was just testing local LLM. the combination was so bad i uninstalled vscode

i do wanna try trae with local api and see what that does on free
