Gemini Pro Quota Reset Bug?

I appear to be running into a bug with quota resets. This is the second time that the baseline Gemini Pro quota should reset, but it immediately is out of quota again with zero usage.

Given all the controversy, can you clarify if this is actually a bug or on purpose? If the former, can you please fix it for me? And if the latter, where can I request a refund for my Pro subscription? That’s not what I signed up for.

It’s intentional, and they’ve said as much. You have a monthly quota and a periodic quota (7-day for free, 5-hour for paid). You can consume your entire monthly quota in just a few 5-hour refresh cycles if you’re pushing hard, at which point you have to wait until the next month. The quota/refresh UI is not well-designed to convey all of this.

Do you know, was the monthly quota documented somewhere? I feel like when I signed up, it said that the quota would be reset every 6 hours or so.

or - you triggered the 7day security lockout because antigravity checked your chrome for multiple google logins. I did a technical writeup on this on the 16th, its a proven explanation and solution.

I mean yeah, my main account is a workspace account that’s not eligible for Pro subscription, and I do have the subscription account in another profile. But when I log into Antigravity, I always make sure that I’m in the browser that has the subscription and go through the OAuth workflow there. Are you saying that Antigravity is doing OAuth stuff in the background through whatever profile is currently the Chrome window that has focus? That would be pretty silly…

Nevermind, I just checked and it looks like it reset. So seems like it was the monthly quota after all :frowning: . It’s ridiculous that you can run out of your monthly quota in a week and then have to wait 3 reset cycles, and even more ridiculous that the UI keeps you guessing about it. Clearly the image from 2 days ago talking about 6 days to reset was clearly very wrong as well. I want to be happy that I have some quota back, but I’ll never be able to use the subscription again without having to worry about how long I’ll have to pause what’s supposed to be a fun side project due to the lockout.

Literally this is a bug thats been happening for over three weeks, i’ve literally traced the error all the way to a global workaround and solution - but hey if you wanna be unique, i’m not getting in your way. Your 1 minute “nevermind seems like” must surely be more valid than the weeks of debugging i’ve done to solve this and help the community. Best of luck in your future inevitable 7 day lockout if you don’t actually take advantage of the grace google bestowed by giving THE WHOLE COMMUNITY A SECURITY LOCKOUT a reset again after the previous one 36 hours ago, but if you haven’t addressed the multiple accounts in the default system browser - it won’t last. I’m not trying to be nihilistic, its just being rooted in reality, i’ve literally read HUNDREDS of posts exactly like yours, and users don’t fix the issue, seems fine, then they are right back completely shocked “I DONT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED IT WAS WORKING”. Well, i did my part, i told you, you know, the rest is on you what you do with it.

AND THIS POST - literally, people just keep trying to account switch and they are like “WHATS GOING ON”

I’m saying antigravity doesn’t like multiple accounts its been this way for a month. until google actually fixes it, you’re just gaslighting yourself at this point if you think the security issue is fake.
