I woke up and, unless the cat has made a website, there’s a bug. The Antigravity counter tells me to reset in 5days..
We’re in the comical realm, except that it’s a tool you can work with. Are there any changes planned? We’ve already started migrating the Gemini business models, which are too variable in workflow, and now the coding agents are too.
It’s not a controversy, I like Google. What’s going on?
Is this random bug that’s being read about everywhere on the internet and on this forum intentional, or is it really that difficult to fix? Is it possible?
I really want to understand and not be argumentative. Let’s improve the tools. If you need feedback or logs, ask and you’ll get them. How do we fix this?
My interpretation would be that you’ve used up your monthly quota. What you got from the 5-hour refresh was whatever was left of your monthly quota. Once you use this up, you’ll have to wait until your next month to get a new monthly quota.
To provide you with greater control and a seamless path to scale, we are evolving our Google AI plans by introducing built-in AI credits that can now be utilized directly within Antigravity.
Under this updated structure, our Google AI Pro tier is tailored for practical builders, offering generous limits for Gemini Flash alongside a baseline quota to experience our most advanced premium models. For developers operating at the highest scale who require consistent, high-volume access to our most complex models, Google AI Ultra serves as the ideal comprehensive solution.
Furthermore, we’ve designed these plans with maximum flexibility in mind; if you are on the Pro plan and require additional capacity or deeper premium access for intensive development sprints, you can seamlessly top up your AI credits to customize your limits and continue shipping your best work without interruption.
I’m in the EU. Where is the email notifying customers of the changes Google made to the original paid Google AI Pro product? Such changes must be communicated directly to customers, not through Twitter or forum posts.
i’ve been posting everywhere about this for the last 4 days since i hit a solution.
my theory is kinda multifaceted - one is, that any quota tracking extensions might be forcing microusages, which lead to unnecessary full bucket refreshes - like imagine the waitress tops off your coffee after a sip, then after she visits your table 5 times shes like “You’ve had enough”.
but the real issue is, account identity mismatch. so if your default chrome browser has multiple profiles or multiple google accounts - then it sees a mismatch and invokes a 7 day security lockout, but because its the same duration as the quota - it goes unresolved so after 7 days - its another 7 days lockout.
anyways, best oneshot resolution i have is, first use the feedback in the antigravity app so devs get some logs, then remove any extra antigravity extensions, and log out of any extra accounts in antigravity. set your default system browser to chrome (or chrome canary) and use only one google sign in there thats the same as the one you use in antigravity. one profile, one google account, one google sign in. log out of antigravity, uninstall antigravity, clean cache from userdata/appdata/roaming/antigravity userdata/appdata/local/programs/antigravity userdata/.gemini userdata/.antigravity then reboot, and reinstall antigravity. if you do this before your 7 day timer counts down - it will refresh hopefully to the 5 hours you’re supposed to be at.
i will note - i think our current weekly bucket and 5hour refresh timers actually PAUSE while this 7day security lockout is in place, so your first week back might not be perfect but it will at least be “RESUMED” to where things were before it started causing problems.
i hope that explains enough, feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

But then why use a single progress bar to represent multiple overlapping values? It really seems like a novice developer mistake. Is that really the case?
you’re 1000%/100% right its not hard to run multiple depths of progress bars.
what amazes me is that they actually used 7day for the securitylockout timer and 7day for the weekly bucket, honestly i came up with a term for this whole error : GaaS gaslighting as a service.
its rather standard nowadays - companies tend to avoid transparency unless hit with legal demands.
when i build stuff - i bootstrap, i have built in debuggers, if theres something that causes a crash - i harden the build to notify the user of the actual error and symptom and resolution. otherwise, its just “winging it”, and i’m just an amateur i don’t even have a corporate salary, i just take pride in my work.
Since that “unpleasant” incident, I have stopped using Antigravity, which, of course, forced me to look for alternative solutions.
Last night, when I returned, I discovered that its capacity was completely at 100% (next reset in 4 hours, WOW). So I activated Claude and Gemini Pro, for no more than a couple of hours, using very targeted suggestions and wisely keeping their usage at 40% capacity. I thought: better not to play with fate
But luck is very kind …
so today I found myself faced with another six-day delay (another round, folks).
Google, while I invest every possible ounce of devotion, and our Company is thoroughly entrenched in your ecosystem from many years (and I also encouraged the use of your tools in the courses), THE MOMENT for a definitive decision has truly arrived
PS: please give me a knock-knock if something changes..
@mrddter yeah its looking like you’re suffering the lockout loop. i did a whole writeup about this. i’ve got a workaround but its a pain to manage if you actually need to use your default system browser for any multiaccount stuff like signing into any other softwares like github etc. link to it below, even if you only read it to get an understanding of whats happening, it might help, and i’m available to give whatever user-to-user support i can on it
Note : regarding if you’re looking for anyone else - Trae has amazing transparency but API equivalent pricing. Kimi has been amazing and my top condidate - their vscode extension is really meeting my expectations and the usage has been meeting my demands without leaving me feeling ripped off.
