I just noticed today, that the ability to edit messages send by the AI is gone.
This has been a really important feature in guiding the AI to stick to certain response formats and worked very effectively to generate prompts and output examples that ensure more effective use of gemini. But now I can only edit my own messages, which means I need to regenerate messages until they are just right, or else I can’t design a “sample conversation” with the playground. Please bring it back!

This just showed up today, so it may not be rolled out to everybody. Yesterday I was able to edit also.

Hi @michox, I have tested with the models present in the ai studio I can see the edit option for the model response. Could please confirm if you are trying to edit the response or model thoughts. Thank You.
