Hello Google AI Studio Support Team,
I am using Google AI Studio Build Mode on the free plan to build a web application.
Today I received this message:
“You have reached your limit for today. Wait reset to continue for more.”
However, the message does not show me the exact date or time when my Build Mode usage will reset.
Could you please tell me:
- Exactly when my AI Studio Build Mode limit will reset.
- Whether the reset happens at a specific time or after a certain number of hours.
- Whether my current project will remain saved while I wait for the limit to reset.
- Whether I need to upgrade/pay to continue, or whether I can simply wait for the free limit to reset.
I am using Google AI Studio from an Android phone.
Thank you.
Free plans have effectively been killed on Sept 29th due to RPD being reduced by a huge amount. Some testers reporting by 90%
Hello @Mwanje_Moses,
This message means you’ve used the free daily Build mode allowance. Daily limits reset once a day rather than over a rolling window, so access returns automatically and you don’t need to pay to continue (Google AI plans). Your project stays saved in your AI Studio account while you wait.
Next steps:
- Wait for the daily reset and continue in the same app.
- If you need more usage, Google AI Pro and Ultra plans include higher daily allowances, or you can keep working after the daily limit by using a Gemini API key with Cloud Billing enabled, billed per request (Google AI plans, Billing).
Am from Uganda
how much is the minimum to start paying a google api billing. If it is paid do i have 24/7 access to the api on developing project, how long can that minimum paid take me to get used up, how much will google api charge me developed app being live with users to access it 24/7
Hello @Mwanje_Moses ,
Uganda is a supported region. To keep building after your free daily limit, add a Gemini API key from a project with billing set up. New accounts buy prepaid credits first, and the minimum amount is shown in Google AI Studio when you add credits (https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/docs/billing).
Credits are only used when requests are made, so how long they last depends on the model and how much you use (https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/docs/pricing). Requests stop if your balance reaches zero unless you turn on auto-reload. Requests also stop if you hit your tiers rate limits.
Once deployed, your app uses your API key for every visitor’s requests, so their usage is billed to you, plus any Cloud Run hosting costs. You can set a monthly spend cap for the project in Google AI Studio.
How can i set it and how can i know the usage
