Hello,
I would like to provide another update because this issue has now become a serious concern for our project.
We are currently using Google AI Studio Build to develop a real AI video production platform. The project is already well underway, and we have reached the middle of the development process.
We have been developing the platform step by step, testing each function carefully, rather than performing bulk generations or running many unrelated projects.
We were also seriously considering upgrading our membership in order to obtain more capacity, because we would like to continue using AI Studio as part of our development workflow.
However, the current quota situation is causing us to lose confidence in the platform.
Yesterday evening, before midnight, we used AI Studio Build only a small number of times while testing our project.
After midnight, we started working again this morning. We had only made a small number of Build modifications, yet the system again reported that we had reached the daily limit.
One of our recent Build operations also ran for approximately 547 seconds before the quota limit was reached.
This is extremely difficult for us to understand.
We are not doing bulk generation.
We are not running many projects.
We are developing one project step by step.
If the quota can be exhausted after only a small number of Build operations, while the actual quota calculation and reset mechanism are not clearly visible to us, it becomes very difficult to plan and continue development.
More importantly, this situation creates a serious problem for our decision to upgrade.
We are willing to pay for more capacity, but before doing so, we need to know what we are actually paying for and whether increasing the subscription would reliably allow us to continue development.
At the moment, the uncertainty is having the opposite effect.
It is not only causing us to lose confidence in AI Studio Build; if we cannot obtain a reliable explanation or a predictable development environment, we may even have to reconsider whether we can continue developing our platform using this service.
Could you please clarify the following:
1. Is the AI Studio Build/Agent quota reset at a fixed time every day, or is it based on a rolling time window?
2. If it is reset daily, what exact timezone and time does the Build quota reset?
3. Is the Build/Agent quota the same as the Gemini API daily quota, or is it a separate quota?
4. Where can users see the actual Build/Agent quota usage, remaining quota, and reset time?
5. Does a long-running Build Agent operation consume quota based on execution time, tokens, generations, or another metric?
6. If a Build operation fails or terminates without successfully completing the requested modification, does that operation still consume quota?
7. Why can a project reach the daily Build limit after only a small number of modifications?
8. If we upgrade our membership, will the additional capacity actually apply to AI Studio Build Agent operations, and what specific limit would be increased?
We would sincerely appreciate a clear and specific explanation.
We are already well into the development of our platform, and we want to continue using AI Studio. We also have a genuine intention to upgrade our membership.
But we need confidence that the development environment is predictable and that we can understand how our usage is being counted.
We can provide screenshots and screen recordings showing the Build operations and the quota messages if needed.
Thank you.
