Hello Google AI Studio team,
I’m building an Android app using Build Mode, and I’ve hit the usage limit on two separate tasks today:
1. Continuing existing work — I was picking up a task I’d already started, and hit the limit partway through, before I could finish it.
2. Starting something new — I was working on a new feature from scratch, and hit the same limit before I could complete it.
What’s confusing me is that I hadn’t done much today before the limit was reached — it was exhausted much faster than I expected for the amount of work I’d actually done. I wanted to flag this in case it’s more than just normal daily usage.
Could you help me understand:
- Whether this is expected behavior for the free tier given how little I’d used it today, and when the quota resets
- Whether I can resume the interrupted tasks without losing the progress already made
- Whether there’s a known issue causing Build Mode to consume quota faster than expected
