I’m facing a confusing issue with Google AI Studio related to my Google AI Pro subscription.
I am part of a Google One AI Pro family plan, and the subscription is correctly active on my account. I can see Pro benefits reflected in other Google services (Gemini, storage, etc.), so the subscription itself is definitely working.
However, in Google AI Studio, the behavior is inconsistent:

Sometimes the “Pro” tag appears next to my email

Other times it completely disappears

When the Pro tag is missing, I get limited requests like a free-tier user

Even when it briefly appears, the higher limits don’t always seem to apply
This inconsistency makes AI Studio unreliable to use, especially for development work.
From what I’ve observed and from other discussions, it seems like:

AI Studio may not be properly syncing subscription status

There might be issues specifically with family-shared AI Pro plans

Or this could be a temporary rollout/bug affecting Pro integration
I also noticed similar reports where billing or subscription status doesn’t properly reflect across AI Studio interfaces .

Does AI Studio fully support Google AI Pro via family sharing, or only direct subscriptions?
