Google AI Pro Subscription - Antigravity Quota Not Working as Advertised (10-Day Lockout Instead of 5-Hour Reset)

The first week I used my Antigravity account for 10 minutes and it ran out of space right away.
Now, twice, 6 days have passed and I can’t use it because it resets itself, having already used up the quotas. Literally 1 minute before the time expires, it redeems 6 days with the quotas already used up.
I’m giving away money.
Now I might have found a way to contact Google One support by phone.
I’ll have to use Claude. I really liked Gemini for programming, though.

Besides, they’re killing themselves with semi-professional clients.
There are no official responses, and perhaps this is the most horrible thing a company can do. Ignoring people

Wow exacly the same… so this is not strange bug.

I just wrote a thread about it because it was so strange that I thought it was a “strange” problem worth reporting, but then there’s something programmatic that doesn’t add up.

Don’t even bother asking, you don’t even need to reset or reinstall or change the version. I tried.

I’m afraid I’ll do the same, unfortunately even upgrading to Ultra doesn’t make sense from reading the forum. Can you tell me in a private message which competitor you’re using?

Thanks for letting us know. Also, I am using Open code, and it is doing the same thing. But thanks, I will check it out…

In the first box,you must at least type 50 words.

Perfect analogy. And after having a massive spike of new clients because you advertise a superb price of $20 for full service of front and back yard you show up and just mow a few strips and leave.
But it’s ok because you made a post on X “in order to handle the overwhelming demand for our mowing service we have implemented weekly limits“

If a regular company pulled something like that they would have their ability to accept credit cards terminated immediately.

The behavior is clearly intentional. The “taste test” is the 1000 AI Credits per month going forward.

Hi. In other threads I indicated I was going to cancel my subscription.

I have now cancelled it and taken up the Pro Subscription with Claude. So far it more than meets my needs and I get more done quicker.

I really like Antigravity. I also understand how popularity has put immense pressure on Google systems and hence limiting. But, the Pro tier is unusable , easier and cheaper just to change approach.

I do hope Google can find a better alternative to this madness. If they do, I will return to the Pro plan.

I finally spoke to a human at Google One → Ai PRO. They sent me two emails with requests, the first with the usual procedures (install, uninstall, you must be 18 on Google, supported country, etc.), confirming everything in the first email, and a second with details and screenshots of the problem (I showed the quota limit screenshot with the settings screen with my AI PRO account email). Most importantly, they asked me for my Google GAIA ID. The next day, it was reset to 5 hours before the 7-day limit expired.

But only because I went to “other” → “other” in Google One contacts, and then the phone call box was activated. The first time via email, it didn’t even feel like I was talking to an AI intelligette, an old chatbot from days gone by (but that was also 3 weeks ago when the problems started).

basically someone at google thought it would be a great idea to put a 7day security block on anyone that had multiple google accounts in their browser to prevent free users from just making a new gmail and abusing the system. and now - everyones locked out. it comes back to an account identity mismatch problem.

i did a whole technical writeup with proven explanations and solutions on the 16th, and been blasting it everywhere to try helping users understand and remedy the issue.

Same issue here, and honestly the quota is bad enough, but the customer support is even worse – that’s what pisses me off the most.
I’ve been on Google AI Pro for 3 full months (1-year annual subscription), and it’s only getting worse every single week. The money feels completely wasted – I’m regretting it to death right now.
Already reported this to Google One chat and in-app feedback last month, zero real reply. Just canned copy-paste answers from support engineers who don’t even check logs. They literally tell me “upgrade to Ultra” or “if you cancel, you won’t access your data anymore” like some kind of threat. Worst support experience ever.
The ads and signup pitch were all user deception – they promised generous 5-hour resets for Pro, but it’s bait-and-switch with hidden weekly caps that kill everything.
Yesterday: 2 conversations in Gemini Pro Think mode → 5-hour reset.
Today: reconnected, less than 5 conversations (one code bug fix attempt) → straight to 1-week cooldown.
Can’t solve even one code issue now. Feels like less than 1/10th of Claude code or Codex on the same tier. Zero productivity.

well its no walk in the park trying to hel;p 90% of the community out here - literally all your qualms are the literal same problems i have experienced while i’m literally trying to help people solve their stuff not working - but yall don’t believe me, don’t’ follow the steps, don’t read the posts just drive by comments venting.

and on top of that - anyone who gets the solution - they just take the solution and leave, no backup, no thanks, no extra feedback, no refined notes. is that gonna stop me from doing my very best to help everyone? no way, i’m gonna keep helping.

you say you care about using this for work. honestly in your heart if you care so much about getting your project back on, then follow the guide, we are a community of developers doing a beta test, not alligators.

even before i fixed antigravity i built a literal solution with nothing but a keyboard, we are supposed to build things so lets get positive yeah? even a bug report can be positive

Mac user here. Nothing you proposed worked, unfortunately. Maybe that’s why people aren’t interacting with your posts.

Reinstalled Chrome and AG completely, logged in with only my AI Pro account, installed Canary, used it as Default, logged in with only my AI Pro account there too, cleared all the caches, all the Google’s tokens in the Keychains, etc. etc. etc. Nothing worked.

I am very glad for you trying, byt this should really be solved by Google, and they aren’t doing anything

They really have a deep calculation problem that goes beyond excessive or improper use. The funny thing is, is it just “calculation” or did they give the AI the decision to calculate?

On Saturday, March 21st, I had an odds reset before the 7 days. Everything works.
I haven’t used the odds for practically 2 days.
Today, March 24th, I used Claude slightly (not at all), consuming 2 bars (or maybe 1, as you can see below).

I unplugged it and the counter reset to 4 hours and 59 minutes.
Now I reopen the screen and discover that Claude’s counter is 6 days, BUT WHY!?

I haven’t used Gemini PRO practically, so I wonder if the same will happen to him.

As you can see “it went to 6 days without real consumption, and 4 hours before it was at 5 hours like the others” This is to say that the counting and exhaustion of 6 hours is not due to use, but a strange logo bug.

well most of the remaining issues seem to be coming from people on mac. i’m getting plenty of communication from people on windows and linux and the results have been pretty great.

mac is a different beast, its gonna take people from the mac community to step up and figure out where else is it falling short. did you reboot? idk i’m trying to guess what you didn’t do

same fot me, but with the googles models, it is getting worse and worse and it is really a shame because they have their own model(for those using gemini) and it costs them basically a ton less than any third party services

if this goes on like this, i will switch on github copilot and maybe to claude or kimi with api

here is the prediction coming true, I used a little without reaching any significant consumption and the counter has already been on for 6 days.

Today my subscription ends. I’m going with Cursor. Maybe going to try Claude Code.
It will be hard to win back users like me. Especially I’m Anti-Google guy. 20$ for all that was available was amazing to lure me back into google products. Well… Not anymore. It was like 4 months?

I’m on the LMDE7, and issue with quota still persists.

oh no :frowning:

yeah i had a feeling the 24th would be a whole new wave of people getting hit with this.

updated guide over here but will be posting updates today that possibly the easiest workaround will be to use antigravity exclusively as a new User at OperatingSystem level and only allow that User (Windows/Mac User Profile) to have Antigravity, don’t operate it in the same windows user or mac user, as that is probably the most guaranteed solution especially for the less than tech savvy.
