Gemini PRO unavailable in Google AI Studio for Google One Subscribers

I am experiencing a critical technical issue where the Gemini Pro model has completely disappeared from the model selector dropdown in Google AI Studio. Only the Flash model is currently available.

My account has an active Google One Pro plan subscription, which includes access to this model. This sudden removal is blocking my workflow and operational processes.

Technical Troubleshooting Already Performed: To rule out local environment issues, I have done the following:

  • Cleared browser cache/data and performed complete account logouts/logins.

  • Tested across multiple browsers (Brave, Google Chrome) and in Incognito Mode.

  • Confirmed no VPN is active.

  • Successfully completed the official Google account age verification procedure, as requested by support.

Support Status: I have opened multiple tickets over the past weeks (e.g., Case IDs 7-5881000041929, 6-8440000041760, and 5 others). Support agents acknowledged that this is affecting multiple users and escalated the issue to the engineering team. However, there has been zero technical feedback, no ETA for a fix, and no temporary workarounds provided for paying subscribers.

My questions for the community and staff:

  1. Is anyone else currently facing this regression in AI Studio?

  2. Is there any known technical workaround to force the model list to update?

  3. Could a Community Manager or DevRel help flag these escalation tickets to the engineering team?

Thank you in advance for any insights.

Hello @Bruno_Allan ,

  • AI Studio Build: Its not a bug, The interactive coding assistant in Build currently supports only Flash models in its model selector. Your application code inside Build can still call Gemini 3.1 Pro Preview via the Gemini API.
  • AI Studio Playground: Gemini 3.1 Pro Preview remains available in the Google AI Studio Playground model selector.
