now you know what I said earlier
Mine is very similar but without the peak you got the first days of September
go to see more and see from which cities people are watching
September 4 has highest views
According to Llyod statement hope we will receive recognition
I have no data on my analytics on cities unfortunately
I too donāt have that
Thereās still zero activity in my Firebase Analytics and no authenticated users, yet they said theyāve already chosen the winners for most categories and will announce them all this week. I didnāt even cover half of my app in the video. The truth is, I spent around a month on development and only 2-3 hours on video creation. Sleepless nights and sweaty days for nothing?
I know this is occurring for most of the people in this thread !!
The Google contest isnāt the end point for your app. It was a good nudge for you to explore different applications of AI. If the idea was promising, you could market the app, grow and eventually monetize. If not, itās still an experiment that serves as an archive on the internet as one application of LLMs.
Iām still going to work on my app after the contest. Itās a little disheartening to know that my app wasnāt recognised by the Google team as worthy of an award. But when I think long term, it isnāt a zero sum game. We can all get something back from this contest.
I agree with you This is just a beginning letās explore and develop our app
@gowdamn Youāre right, and I couldnāt agree more. Itās a perspective that makes so much sense, but I just hope everyone has the heart to understand and appreciate this way of thinking.
My app also does not have any activity. I spent almost 2.5 months, spending 10 hours a day sometimes. I want to follow the rules and make my app perfect. I included email login, Google login, and integrated vertex AI in my Flutter app. I tried to make it a perfect and complete app. It is very disappointing that after taking too much time, they even did not test it. This is their own rule for giving points. It takes, 30 mins to run any app and 1-2 hours to live test it, if there is any bug and further 2-3 hours to check code quality for any expert developer.
@Lloyd_Hightower its mid November
He knows, It is expected this may take longer than advertised, thatās why to be safe they placed the deadline to end of 2024.
It looks like you worked hard and followed the development guidelines well. On the QA side, just like you, I also worked tirelessly to make the app bug-free, even working until the last moment. I submitted it in the final hours of the submission deadline.
@WasimSafdar Letās hope your hard work will pay off someday, Good luck
Same like you both everyone have worked hard so will wait for the results
Nah. Theyāre just building excitement for the competition. Itās all good.
With some 3300+ entries, Iām sure the approach they took was to first watch the video and if it looked interesting, they take the time to do a test drive. If it runs without any serious problems, they then take a closer look.
Maybe Iām mistaken, but I understood from the outset that the judges expected to see demos, not production-ready apps. So I focused on developing something intriguing, rather than bug-free. After the close of the competition, Iāve been working on improving and cleaning up the app. Itās now in Open testing and Iām happy with the way it runs.
First of all, nobody knows that there will be 3300+ entries. Rules were clear. This is not a contestant headache, if there are so many entries. āYour submission is superbly executed, demonstrating high quality and meticulous attention to detail, and is completely free of bugs and glitches.ā I submitted my app on the last day because I was finding bugs and testing my app again and again. Every time, when I thought it is completed, I found another small bug. I did not have time to make an AI-generated, graphically good video. I made a simple presentation that explained everything. If they are not testing after taking so much time and relying upon demo videos, it is not our mistake. Everybody knows that presentation is different from practical work. People brag until things are tested. I had a very good idea about the AR app but I worked on another just to follow rules.
Chill mate, they didnāt expect this number either, at this point theyāll have to do their thing and weāll just have to accept it as-is. They as well as us, faced issues and are learning from it, so itās a win-win anyways.
