No, winning the People’s Choice Award does not disqualify an app from winning other category prizes. According to the competition rules, you are eligible to win more than one prize.

Yep! People’s choice was just my way of allowing a chance for developers to see what others built and also give others some flowers. It will be a “gamification” style voting I hope you all enjoy it.

This will be highly gamified. Thankfully the prize isn’t monetary so competitors shouldn’t feel too bad about the outcome. It’s a popularity contest for this one so someone with a lot of online friends could technically win it with a mediocre app.

Hello, I am not a judge/host of the competition. I’ve just read the competition rules properly and I understand legal language well. I’m also a competitor just like you.
Lloyd is the host of the competition from Google. Only he can answer project specific questions in these forums.
However I’d like to say that you shouldn’t be spamming various different threads with unrelated questions about whether your app submission was submitted properly or not. Please find the appropriate thread and ask there OR create a new thread and ask there.
If you submitted the Google form then you shouldn’t be worrying about this anyways.

@luluthepooh. In this world, where you can get fake subscribers, views, and likes, how can you judge that voting is done fairly? Only network friends voted.
You can’t. Voting can be done without a Google account and from the same IP multiple times as long as you clear browser cache and whatnot.
This voting is a popularity contest, the prize is just a trophy (no financial reward). Maybe they’re recording the IP address of the voter each time and they’ll just count all the unique IPs that voted.
Personally, I don’t care about the People’s choice award because I know it’ll be gamified.
