Gemini API Competition - Update and Thank You!

lol they are showing random use cases with Gemini for no reason by PAYING sponsors.

I bet any of this competition’s submissions would be so happy if Google used it for any sort of marketing. There are plenty to pick from. It would’ve been free for them too.

SIGH :face_holding_back_tears:

Yeah it has nothing to do with this competition, although paying other sponsors to make an app with Gemini to promote is kinda dumb since they have so many projects they can now promote.

One more thing I wanted to add is that my YouTube video has been getting returning viewers and also new viewers for the past 2 weeks. That’s why I was thinking that maybe it is selected for something but I did not want to speculate. After that, I checked my Firebase analytics.

No, it is Google’s own program where they give a chance to their own developers to create a startup. Sundar Pichai also took advantage of it and now he is CEO of Google.

It is not for sponsors but there is a lot of competition between big companies for AI. Gemini, Llama, OpenAI, Claude. Competition is a way to increase Gemini users and also introduce Gemini to developers.

Google PAID a sponsor to make this app… instead of promoting any of our submission’s for free.

Good marketing strategy because the dog is considered a family member.

I wonder what code it gives when the dog starts humping the pillow :joy:

Thanks dude for teaching us that dogs are family members. Especially since my dog is my profile pic here, I definitely needed your insight about it.

I don’t know, just non-of-these these projects really rang to me. like using a whole LLM for that

I swear of god that if in our competition the winner ends up being a Quiz App, a Book suggestion app or “Dog translation” app…

I bet that there will be one Indian winner. Maybe it is a Gemini controlled robot. Indians are everywhere in Google. I am not against them and I have very good friends. But this is how things works in big companies. Expecting everything to be fair is a wrong approach.

Am very grateful for the update, Q&A, other Pum. Perspective, Understanding and mindset may see, Q-A, or QA. But in this our vital Competition, Quality and Accuracy matter (s) more than any type of delay, or longer than expected, and just as the organizers of this Competition, Judges and Managers worked and stood for Quality and Accuracy, developers of Pum also value QA (M) adding M. Those who know the value and Supremacy of ENGLISH Large Language as the Language scale exclusively in the near future when Languages will be assembled for Scalability, Authority and Competition (SAC) know very well that, without CAL… Character, ALPHA-BET, and Letters, English Language may significantly become ill and unable for (SAC) e.g. there are 26 CAL in EL. A to L 12 CAL. M stands alone as SAC. N to Y 12 CAL. Z stands alone as SAC.
12, that notable number in the great city of Triangle, adventures of kind are aware of the great city. +12=24. M plus Z equals 2 SAC. Put this 2 add 0 which M has API to add, and calls the 2 Ms to collabulatively work. 2+0&24= 2024.
2024 of SAC.
2024 of Mammon, Mankind, Money (MMM)
2024 of CAL&SAC L. LOVE.
2024 of CAL-SAC API
2024 of A-Z.

This sounds like Andrej Kárpáthy’s NanoGPT GitHub - karpathy/nanoGPT: The simplest, fastest repository for training/finetuning medium-sized GPTs. in it’s early phase when the parameters not cranked up yet and it’s kinda half gibberish.

Has anyone here been contacted?

Not yet  waiting for the same :tada:

People who have been contacted cannot share that in here, they risk being disqualified

Most probably all winners have been contacted by now. All what is left is paperwork before announcing the results. Competition was fierce, ones objective from this competition must only be learning and networking not aiming at winning.
