Hello Google Gemini API Team,
I am a college student developing an educational project called “EduGenie - AI” for learning and development purposes.
My Google AI Studio project currently shows:
Billing: Unavailable
Project Status: Restricted
When I make a Gemini API request, I receive:
403 PERMISSION_DENIED
“Your project has been denied access. Please contact support.”
I have checked the following:
- 2-Step Verification is enabled.
- I completed the available age verification process.
- My API key loads correctly in my Python application.
- Internet and DNS connectivity are working correctly.
- The Gemini API endpoint is reachable.
However, the project remains restricted and API requests are denied.
I would like to use the Gemini API for a low-volume educational/student project and would prefer to use the available free usage without setting up paid billing.
Could you please manually review my project/account and let me know whether the restriction can be removed or if I need to complete any additional verification?
I have not included my API key or any private credentials.
