I am a university student working on a low-volume academic RAG project.
My Gemini API requests are returning:
403 PERMISSION_DENIED
“Your project has been denied access. Please contact support.”
Google AI Studio currently shows:
Billing Tier: Unavailable
Status: Restricted
I have already completed:
- Phone number verification
- 2-Step Verification
- Age verification
- Created a Gemini API key
My project is a Technical RAG Assistant for a college project. It retrieves information from a Python technical manual using FAISS and Sentence Transformers and uses the Gemini API to generate answers from the retrieved context.
I would like to use the Gemini API for this academic project on the Free Tier.
Could you please review the restriction on my project and let me know what is required to restore Gemini API access?
I have not included my API key or any private credentials.
