Hello Google Gemini API Team,
I am requesting a manual review of my Gemini API access.
My Google AI Studio project is currently shown as Restricted, and the Billing Tier is shown as Unavailable.
When I try to use the Gemini API from my FastAPI educational project, the API request returns:
HTTP 403 PERMISSION_DENIED
“Your project has been denied access. Please contact support.”
I have already completed the recommended account verification steps:
- Phone number verification completed
- 2-Step Verification (2SV) enabled
- Google AI Studio Rate Limit page checked
- API key created through Google AI Studio
The Rate Limit page currently shows:
“Project quota tier unavailable. Please contact your project administrator for assistance.”
It also shows:
“This Project’s API access is restricted. Please set up billing to continue.”
There is no usage data available.
My intended use is a low-volume educational college project called EduGenie. It is a student project for development, testing, and demonstration purposes.
I would like to use the Gemini API Free Tier and do not want to enable paid billing at this time.
Could you please manually review my Google AI Studio project/account and let me know why the project is restricted and whether Free Tier Gemini API access can be restored?
I have not included my API key or any private credentials for security reasons.
