BUG: AGY CLI Error 3501 (403 Forbidden) - Personal Account Wrongly Flagged as Enterprise

Hello Google Team,

I am experiencing a persistent #3501 (403 Forbidden) error when trying to authenticate the AGY CLI. The error message states:
“You do not have a valid license of this product. Please contact your administrator…”
My Issue:
My account is a standard personal Google account, not an Enterprise/Workspace user. It appears my account’s backend routing flag is stuck in the enterprise license validation loop.
I have already tried the standard troubleshooting steps:

  • Logged out and completely deleted local cache folders (.gemini, Antigravity app data).
  • Updated the CLI to the latest version.
  • Restarted the terminal and re-authenticated.
    However, the issue persists.
  • OS:Windows 11
    Request:
Could an engineer please check my account’s backend routing status and manually reset the flag from Enterprise back to Personal so I can use the free tier?
(Note: I am posting this from the affected Google account).
Thank you for your time and assistance!

Hi @zican,

Please check the following CLI- and Windows-specific causes that keep Error #3501 (403 Forbidden) active even after a folder wipe:

  • Unset AGY_ADC_AUTH & Clear Windows Credential Manager:
    • If AGY_ADC_AUTH (Google Cloud Application Default Credentials) is set in your Windows environment variables, the CLI automatically routes your session to the enterprise license endpoint—unset it if present (Remove-Item Env:\AGY_ADC_AUTH in PowerShell and remove it from System Environment Variables).
    • On Windows 11, deleting .gemini does not remove tokens stored in the OS keychain. Open Windows Credential Manager → Windows Credentials, delete any LegacyGeneric:target=gemini:antigravity entry, verify your CLI is on the latest v1.2.11 release (Changelog / CLI Install Docs), and run /logout followed by /login selecting your personal @gmail.com account.
  • Verify Regional Availability, Account Country & Age Settings:
    • Error #3501 (“invalid license”) is also returned as a misleading fallback error when the backend blocks a request due to geographical availability restrictions or an active VPN/proxy.
    • Please disable any VPN/proxy, verify that your account’s country at Google Terms of Service is in a supported region, and confirm that Age Verification (18+) is completed on your Google account.
  • If the issue persists on Antigravity CLI v1.2.11, please reply with the full Error ID shown with the #3501 message and your country/region .
