Error #3501 on Antigravity Desktop Client (Personal Free Account Incorrectly Flagged)

Hello,

I am completely locked out of the Antigravity standalone Desktop Chat Client on Windows due to Error #3501. My account worked perfectly previously, but it is now incorrectly asking for an enterprise administrator license.

I am using a standard, free personal @gmail.com account, not an enterprise or Workspace account.

Here are my specific details for the engineering team to look up:

  • Error ID: dd3ad697-122b-4ec2-9efd-b2bf4da13ca6-1-1001
  • Platform: Antigravity Desktop Chat Client (Windows) 2.17.0
  • Account Type: Standard Free Tier Personal Account

Troubleshooting already attempted:

  1. Completely wiped the local %appdata%\Antigravity cache folder to clear stale tokens.
  2. Triggered a fresh onboarding reset.
  3. Changed my default system browser and forced the authentication link to open inside a completely clean Microsoft Edge InPrivate/Incognito window (I am a chrome user)

The application is still hard-locked on the backend entitlement check. Could an admin or developer please review my Error ID and manually refresh/un-wedge my personal account routing ? Facing the same issue for my other email addresses as well including mu…@gmail.com and bi..@gmail.com

Thank you!

Hi @Alpha_Sense,

Welcome to the forum.

Please check the following machine- and network-level causes:

  1. Manually Install Antigravity 2.0 v2.18.1 & Clear Windows Credential Manager:
    • Upgrade from v2.17.0 to v2.18.1 (Changelog), which includes fixes for Google Sign-In and incomplete enterprise sign-in states. Please manually download and run the latest .exe installer from the official download page rather than using the in-app updater.
    • Open Windows Credential Manager → Windows Credentials and remove LegacyGeneric:target=gemini:antigravity if present (wiping %appdata%\Antigravity alone does not clear credentials stored in Windows Credential Manager).
  2. Check for AGY_ADC_AUTH in Windows Environment Variables:
    • If AGY_ADC_AUTH (Google Cloud Application Default Credentials) is set in your Windows user or system environment variables, every account on your PC will be routed to enterprise license validation and fail with #3501. Unset it if present and restart the app.
  3. Verify Geographical Availability & Disable VPN/Proxy:
    • When a connection is blocked due to geographical availability restrictions, the backend returns the misleading #3501 (-1001) license error across all accounts on that connection. Please verify your location is supported, check your account’s country at Google Terms of Service (and Age Verification), and disable any active VPN or proxy before signing in.
  4. If the Issue Persists on v2.18.1: Please reply with your country/region and attach either your diagnostic logs in a .txt file or an error screenshot .
