Hello Google AI Studio Team,
I am requesting assistance / a manual review for an account-level lock on Google AI Studio
AI Studio was working normally for me until yesterday, but today I am blocked with:
- Failed to list models: permission denied. Please try again.
- An automatic redirect to the available-regions documentation page.
When inspecting the project in Google Cloud Console, it shows I am missing the resourcemanager.projects.get permission on the AI Studio project:
- Project ID: gen-lang-client-02142794..
- Account Type: Personal Gmail (se..@gmail.com)
- Country: Türkiye (officially supported)
I do not use a VPN, and this occurs across all devices and networks.
It appears my internal AI Studio project was flagged or detached by an automated system check.
Could a team member please review and reinstate access to this project?
Hey! I had the exact same issue: “permission denied”, couldn’t select models or change settings, and Google AI Studio kept redirecting me to the documentation page.
I fixed it by completing Google’s age verification! After verifying my age, AI Studio started working normally again.

We have recently rolled out a mandatory age verification initiative across signed-in customers globally, Accounts that have not completed explicit date-of-birth/identity verification should do so by navigating to Google Account Age Verification or verifying date of birth in Google Account Personal Info."
Also, disconnect any VPN, proxy, or iCloud Private Relay and access AI Studio directly.
Make sure you are accessing AI Studio from one of the supported regions
