Hello,
I am unable to access Google AI Studio with my personal Gmail account.
The error shown is:
“Failed to list models: permission denied. Please try again.”
I also receive:
“Failed to list imported projects: permission denied.”
and:
“Unable to check your Google AI Subscription.”
I have already tested the following:
- Personal Gmail account
- I am over 18 and my date of birth is registered in my Google Account
- Brazil is my current location
- Gemini web works normally with this account
- Google AI Studio does NOT work with this account
- Google AI Studio works normally with another personal Gmail account
- Tested in Chrome
- Tested in Incognito mode
- Same computer
- Same internet connection
- The problem persists in Incognito mode
- No VPN is being used
- There is no Google Workspace administrator involved
- Google Payments does not have a conflicting payment profile
The issue appears to be specific to this Google account.
Could you please check whether the account has an AI Studio/Gemini API entitlement or eligibility issue on the backend?
