To the Google Team and Community,
What is happening right now is completely outrageous: Enforcing restrictive weekly usage caps on paying Pro / Member subscribers? Are you serious?!
We pay for a monthly subscription, integrate your ecosystem into our daily workflows, and rely on these tools for real professional work under the explicit premise that a paid plan delivers the resources needed for actual productivity.
Instead, paying users are getting hit with arbitrary weekly limits mid-week, dead in the middle of active projects and tight deadlines.
Let’s call this what it really is:
- users into paid tiers with the promise of high-tier capability and reliability, as soon as they actually put the system to serious use.
- Zero Transparency: Opaque limits, arbitrary caps, and zero warning before running.
- Completely Unusable for Professionals: Real work doesn’t stop because an artificial weekly timer decided you’ve used “too much” of the service you literally pay for. No developer or business can sit idle for days waiting for a reset.
customers like this isn’t “fair use” or “capacity management”. If Google cannot provide the infrastructure to support paying subscribers, do not charge people for Pro tiers.
Either remove these and give paying members predictable, professional access, or watch your user base mass-migrate to Anthropic, OpenAI, and competitors who actually respect their paying customers.
Fix this immediately.
