The Antigravity Pro Subscription

Over the last seven days, Google has turned my paid development environment into a read-only wasteland. I am not writing this because I hit a limit—I am writing this because I have been hit

I want to share my timeline of absurdity to illustrate how the current quota system is not just a technical glitch

The Timeline of a Broken Promise

- February 24, 2026: I renewed my Google AI Pro subscription. Like many of you, I paid my money with the expectation of receiving the advertised benefits: priority access to Claude Opus 4.6 and refresh cycles that actually work.

- March 5, 2026: The first shoe drops. I am actively developing when I get the notification that I have hit my limit. No big deal—these things happen. The system tells me my quota will refresh on March 11th . I wait patiently.

- March 11, 2026: D-Day arrives. I log in, expecting a full reset. Instead, the system greets me with silence. No refresh. My projects remain locked.

- March 12, 2026 (Today): I check again, hoping it was a delay in their servers. Instead, I am met with an even crueler message: “You have reached the base limit and need to wait until March 18 for a refresh.”

Let me do the math for you. I paid on February 24. I effectively lost access around March 5. They moved the goalpost from March 11 to March 18. That means for a monthly subscription, I am getting maybe one week of usable service. If I were on a free tier, I would expect limitations. But I am a Pro subscriber. I am paying for “priority” and “generous limits”.

What is happening to me—and to countless others on Reddit—is that Google is quietly redefining what “Pro” means. They are taking the high-cost models (like Claude Opus 4.6) that attracted us to the platform and rationing them so severely that the service is effectively useless.

1. Retroactive Terms: They changed the rules of the game after I bought the ticket. I did not sign up for a service that resets once a week; I signed up for a service with “priority access” and “5-hour refreshes” . Changing these limits mid-cycle without compensating users

2. The Moving Target: My case is the smoking gun. If the system was honest, my limit would have reset on the 11th. When it didn’t, and instead pushed me to the 18th, it proved that Google is manually (or algorithmically) throttling users to force them into inactivity. They are hoping we just go away so they don’t have to pay the API costs to Anthropic for our usage .

3. Forced Upgrade : This entire exercise feels like a push to get us to buy Ultra. As one user noted, “Ultra subscriptions don’t seem to have these limits” .

Google’s official stance is that these limits are necessary to combat “intense users” and “scalpers” . But in their crusade against the abusers, they have slaughtered the paying customer. I am not running a proxy server. I am not reselling API keys. I am just a developer trying to build software.

To the Google Antigravity Team:

If you cannot afford to offer Claude Opus 4.5 to Pro users, then remove it from the Pro tier. Be honest. But do not take my money, advertise unlimited potential, and then lock me out for 80% of the billing cycle. My subscription ends today. I will not be renewing until you reinstate the 5-hour refreshes for paying customers, and I encourage every other developer experiencing this “time dilation” to do the same.

I’ve had the exact same experience, with nowhere to file a complaint.

I have the same problem. It must be a general error or bug. My data allowance reset itself without any usage, and I saw 4-6 day limits. I suspect it’s from yesterday’s update. Google should provide a general announcement.

I was literally on vacation for a week and then came back and used Google Gemini pro for one 5-hour session and everything reset. I didn’t even use Claude and it reset the 7 days. :face_with_diagonal_mouth::roll_eyes::face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I have a problem with the subscription too. All other dev reported this issue instructed me to never use my group 3 unless it is necessary.

So after subscription. I never used group 3 because I planned to use it for initial research and planning and task list creation. And use group 1 for heavy lifting later group 2 for the repeated tasks. Some one told use group 3 but never exhaust the usage below 40 %. So I was so careful. As Soon as initial planning of task is down. I switched group 3 off. So by accedent I won’t use it. After 5 hour ta ta. I have to wait for 5 days :slightly_smiling_face:. Now my group 1 pro too shows 5 days. All I have is group 2. Which can’t do any heavy lifting.

For web app I suggest use. Gemini CLI in VScode and chrome devtool as MCP. It is faster than using gemeni 3 flash in antigravity which the left over free tire .
Some tasks are so easy. Which I can manually do in 15 min. This will overthink and end up wasting 1 hour. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

after version 1.20.5 Mar 9, 2026 update it sucks more than older version. :slightly_frowning_face:

Yes, shocking, it was resent on Sundayi think but was busy in other stuff ao today i open antigravity and after opening it after 3-4 days it say limit reached was bit confused as first and was thinking may be it temporary bug. But not not sure if they fixing it or not….

I was using my Google AIPro subscription on the trial and I was going to renew the subscription today, but after seeing this discussion, I have a setback, so what’s the solution guys? Is cursor subscription better than this? I was more interested in the Google ai pro because the fact that they provide 2 TB cloud storage as well :face_holding_back_tears:

You are right, I am also experiencing the same. Don’t work as it was working now that I m in purchased the pro it’s hitting limits quite often. Earlier when I was on trial it was working fine.

Pro user here, my quota was exhausted, and I got a 7-day refresh period for pro models. I was shocked but fine with that, waited 7 days, all excited to use the pro models again, woke up early in the morning, and BOOM!!, 6 days refresh rate again.

The same thing is happening to me. I’m an AI Pro user; yesterday it said it would renew in one hour, but when I logged in today, it says in 7 days. I always use the service responsibly and lightly—I find this quite disrespectful. It might be time to switch to a local instance of Qwen 3.5.

Same Issue here :

Error

You have exhausted your capacity on this model. Your quota will reset after 157h2m19s.

Your plan’s baseline quota will refresh on 3/18/2026, 11:22:07 PM. You can upgrade to the Google AI Ultra plan to receive the highest rate limits

This is totally disrespect to users who paid their money for fake quota from Google!!!
