Image upload is working fine. But when I try to upload a video it’s stuck at “Extracting…”. I tried switching models but that made no difference. I even uploaded it to Google Drive and gave it to the model directly from there. No difference. It’s still getting stuck at “Extracting…”. Any solutions?
The video is 1mb…
Aha, I also encountered the same problem. I don’t know how to solve it. If you find a solution, can you @ me?
same problem, and when it fails, it gives this error:
“Http response at 400 or 500 level, error: , http status code: 0”
Same issue. Hoping this gets resolved soon since this is the ONLY model that can analyze videos.
Same exact issue, I think you shipped a broken ai studio for video
I’m experiencing the same issue, and it’s been ongoing for several days. Does anyone know how to reach support and actually get a response?
Thanks for reporting the issue,
I was able to replicate this issue on our end,
I will update the team and they will look into this asap
also Just FYI, i have checked the same in gemini API Programmatically. using python-genai
it is working just fine.if you want to try that in the mean while, please check the following for reference(Video understanding | Gemini API | Google AI for Developers) .
Yes I can run it via API, and I can run it by using the Open Collab, but that defeats the purpose of uploading video to multimodal interface. Very frustrating. This also used to work with Google Drive links, Drive folder links, and GCS links, but nothing works, 500 errors constantly.
Looks like they just shipped an update to the Gemini App to allow for muliple files upload, I suspect that “Papercut” fix , broke the Google AI Studio , or they are preparing for I/O and many things are going to be haywire until after that.
Thankyou for reporting this issue,
this issue has been fixed, please check it now.
I had the same issue last week, but it seems they fixed it now, as it’s working completely fine for me.
