Video generation beta using Veo2 - prudish safety rules

For some reason after the last release, Veo2 in AI Studio has stopped generating videos from images that contain any form of humans, even AI generated pictures with humans doing nothing but looking at the sky. Its as if the safety control prohibits any human form in the image. It seems so prudish especially in the context of so many other AI tools that allow human form animation. Using human characters is the best way to elicit natural animation (including smile, eyebrow raises, blinking, expression through eyes) etc.

Please revisit this control. Thanks.

Hi @Ganesh_R , Looks like the restriction has been lifted, I was able to generate content using both human and AI generated images.

Note: Veo 2 currently does not support uploading images that include children.
Let me know if you are still facing the issue.

Hi @GUNAND_MAYANGLAMBAM , Thank you for your message. Yes, the restriction is not applied anymore. However there’s inconsistency in the application of “safety reasons” even when the image doesn’t contain any children. Some images of adults are accepted while some others in the same pose aren’t accepted.

By the way what is the daily limit on Veo2 for testing?

Regards,
Ganesh

Although the limit is not guaranteed, you should be able to generate up to three videos per day for testing. I will get back to you with the exact number.

Its not consistent. Today it stopped at 2. And its not quite a water-tight rule either. Can you also please find out when the number is reset? 12:00 GMT, US Pacific or IST? Thanks.
