Any chance Veo2 lifting restrictions on using human images?

Veo2 beta stands to lose by blocking human images for experimentation. It misses out on emotional expressions and other nuances. Is there any plan to lift these restrictions?

Hi @Ganesh_R,

There are issues we are seeing with the images in Veo. Already escalated this with our internal team, hope to see a fix soon.

Thanks

Thank you @Govind_Keshari

Veo2 was already having very good quality using images with humans before the update/breakdown. Do we have any ETA on when the facility would be restored? Thanks.

I will follow up on this in few days.

Agreed, it’s useless for what I want to use it for. None of the images include nudity or any sexual reference - just humans. WHY is it blocking?

@Govind_Keshari please make veo 2 able to generate videos from images including humans… that function is pretty useless with that restriction and it also blocks you it if sees something that resembles a human part

Hey folks, that issue of prompting with image is resolved now. I just tried generating video with a human image, it’s woking fine.
Veo2 only doesn’t support uploading images with children.

I’m using the VEO 2 free trial in google AI Studio and it keeps saying “Failed to generate video: Images containing humans are not permitted for video generation in your country. Please use an image without people.”

So like can you tell me which countries allow it?? I’m trying to use it in Spain

Hey @Xisco_72, There is some limitation of Veo to generate video from image in your region. Please check this doc for the limitations.

Hi Govind, Veo in AI Studio behaves inconsistently with respect to images containing humans. This is true for even Asia Pacific region. Sometimes it works, sometimes it blocks.
