Hello,
I’m using Google AI Studio with a paid API key.
Project Name: Default Gemini Project
Project ID: gen-lang-client-03782433..
Project Number: 3404959142..
My billing is active. My API key is correctly linked. I’m using Veo 3.1 Fast in AI Studio. My API key is already restricted to Gemini API, so this is not related to the June 19 unrestricted API key policy.
Google Cloud Console shows that my Veo daily quota is only about 30% used. However, every video generation request immediately fails with: “Failed to generate video: user has exceeded quota. Please try again later.”
I have already verified: - Billing is active - Paid API key is linked - Correct project is selected - Daily quota is not exhausted
Could you please check whether there is any backend issue or restriction affecting my project/account?
Thank you.
Hello,
Just following up on this issue.
The problem is still occurring after 2 days.
My API key is correctly linked to the paid project, billing is active, and the project quotas are not exhausted.
However, every Veo 3.1 Fast generation request still returns:
“Failed to generate video: user has exceeded quota. Please try again later.”
Could someone from the team please check whether there is an issue with my project or account provisioning?
Thank you.
Hello @Gurkan_Kizilcan ,
Can you check the the RPD & RPM on AI Studio Rate Limit page?
Hi Pooja,
Thank you for your reply.
I checked the AI Studio Rate Limit page for the affected project. For Veo 3 Fast Generate, the dashboard currently shows:
RPM: 1 / 2
RPD: 3 / 10
Tier: Tier 1
As shown in the attached screenshot, the project is well below both the RPM and RPD limits, and there has been virtually no usage since August 5. However, Veo still returns the “Failed to generate video: user has exceeded quota” error when I try to generate a video.
Billing is enabled and the project has available paid credits.
Could you please check whether there may be an issue with the Veo quota/provisioning for this project on the backend?
Thank you.
I am also having the same issue, though the model I am using is Nano Banana for image generating. I dont think there is anything we can do, this issue is on Google’s end, we can only wait. Let me know if you found a solution or something.
