Upgrade from Tier 1 to Tier 2 on AI Studio (criteria met), dont see upgrade button

my project (814413323140) has crossed $250 spent and has been 30days since my first payment but i dont see the upgrade button yet. i’m using Gemini 2.5 Pro TTS and Gemini 2.5 Flash Native Audio and need higher rate limits. models are working great for us, just the current rate limit is an issue.

@chunduriv thanks for taking this up. I’m not using credits. and i have reached to the billing team but they defer it to Google developer team, lol. haven’t been able to see the upgrade button on AI Studio. can you tell me why that might be happening? am i missing something I’m not aware of?

Hi @unlikefraction,

The Gemini API uses Cloud Billing for all billing services. Once your project meets the criteria, it becomes eligible for an upgrade to the next tier on the API key page. Has your account’s 30-day payment history exceeded a total spend of >$250?
