Unable to run prompt after editing

Hi,

Previously editing a prompt would still allow me to directly run the newly edited prompt, however with Preview Pro 3 it seems this is not the case. This largely defeats the point, as to run a new prompt I have to add more text to the input, which enables the Run button and allowing me to send the updated prompt/s.

Please take a look at this for a more functional experience.

Thanks for reaching out to us. To help us troubleshoot this issue. Could you please clarify if this happens with all edits (large and small) or specifically with minor text adjustments?Additionally, are you seeing this in new chats as well, or only in longer threads?

I have mostly done so with small edits, perhaps on occasion larger edits (400+ lines). I generally cap my threads at around 130k tokens when dealing with code as context limits tend to reduce accuracy in solutions, so have not tested above 200,000 tokens.

Hi Nireeksha,

It happens on the “Run Ctrl” button to commit a prompt. I do not see it as an issue, just feedback for Google to consider.
