I can enter a prompt into the compose box on the original prompt screen in the usual way. It brings up a chat that looks totally normal, with a normal looking reply from the AI… except, no matter how much I click on the compose box, my cursor never enters it. The cursor’s not there but invisible, because I can’t type anything. This is the case with every available AI model, not just with one. And it’s the same in every browser. There’s never an error message, just that lack of functionality.
Interestingly, it WILL let me upload an image, and I can submit the image successfully to the chat, and the AI will comment on it. I can’t add any text to the image, though; the image is all I can send.
I haven’t given it any weird input, just plain old text with the occasional image. I haven’t touched any of the controls except to turn the Google Search on. I have absolutely positively NOT changed the security settings or any of that other high-level stuff.
I’m on an old Mac with an old operating system, Mojave 10.14.6. However, my husband is able to access HIS account and use it all problem-free on this same computer.
I’ve done all the usual stuff on my end: I’ve logged out and back in, deleted cookies and cache, restarted my browser, restarted my computer, multiple times since this issue started in the middle of a chat on April 18. No dice. And yes, I have reported this issue in detail multiple times.
Does anyone have any ideas or insights? This is so frustrating!
