Hello Google AI Studio Support,
I created a new Google AI Studio project and generated an API key. However, the project shows:
- Billing tier: Activate billing
- Project status: Make payment / Prepay required
- Rate limit page: Project quota tier unavailable
When I click “Activate billing,” I get this error:
“Something went wrong. We’re working to restore it as quickly as possible. Please close the window and try again in a few minutes.”
I tried again in Chrome Incognito, but the same error occurs.
Could you please check whether there is a billing or prepayment setup issue with my project and advise how to enable Gemini API access?
