Error during billing setup — prepay funded but project stuck on Free trial

I have successfully added TRY 500.00 in Gemini API prepay credits.
The balance is visible in both Google Cloud Billing and Google AI Studio Billing.

However, my Default Gemini Project is still shown as Free trial, and clicking Activate billing immediately returns:

“Error during billing setup”

The Rate Limit page still applies Free Tier limits, and Gemini API requests receive free-tier quota errors.

Current state:

  • Prepay balance: TRY 500.00
  • Billing account: active and funded
  • Project: Default Gemini Project
  • AI Studio Billing: balance visible
  • API Keys page: still shows Free trial
  • Activate billing: “Error during billing setup”

Could you please manually synchronize or repair the billing/tier state for this project?

I can provide screenshots privately if needed.

Note: There is no manual billing sync process at our end.

Did you add the amount to the AIS Billing page here: https://aistudio.google.com/billing ? If yes, can you please share a screenshot? Thanks!
