Tier 2 upgrade not applied after 3+ days — API paused at Tier 1 billing cap

Hi Google Gemini API team,

My Gemini API billing account appears to be stuck on Tier 1 even though I meet the documented requirements for Tier 2.

My situation:

  • My first successful payment was on September 17, 2026.
  • More than 3 days have now passed since the first successful payment.
  • My cumulative successful payments exceed USD 100.
  • My billing account is active and has a positive prepaid balance.
  • Google AI Studio still shows Tier 1.
  • I have already reached the Tier 1 billing account monthly spend cap of $250, so my Gemini API service is currently paused.
  • I have already submitted the Gemini API Quota and Billing Cap Increase Request for a higher billing account spend cap.

According to the published Tier 2 eligibility requirements, my account should now be eligible for Tier 2, but the upgrade has not been applied.

Could someone from the Gemini API billing/provisioning team please check whether the automatic Tier 2 upgrade is stuck and perform a manual tier synchronization if necessary?

I can provide my Billing Account ID, Project ID, payment records, and screenshots privately if needed.

Thank you.

As of September 21, 2026, my account is still showing Tier 1 in Google AI Studio, and the Tier 2 upgrade has not been applied.

My billing account is active, I have a positive prepaid balance, my cumulative successful payments exceed USD 100, and more than 3 days have passed since my first successful payment on September 17.

I have now reached the Tier 1 monthly billing cap of USD 250, which has caused my Gemini API service to be paused. This is directly blocking my production workload.

Could someone from the Gemini API or billing team please review whether my account is stuck in the Tier 1 → Tier 2 upgrade process, and escalate it for manual review if needed?

I have also submitted the relevant support form.

Thank you for your help.

I would appreciate a manual review, as the documented Tier 2 requirements appear to have already been met.
