The Gemini API tier has suddenly degraded

Hi, my Gemini API tier has suddenly been degraded from Tier3 to Tier1. Since we are on a very urgent project deadline and this issue will significantly impact our progress, could you please assist us at your earliest convenience? Thank you!

I am experiencing a very similar issue.

Timeline:

  • My Gemini API account was upgraded to Tier 2 in late May 2026.

  • After monthly rollover on June 1, all projects unexpectedly reverted back to Tier 1.

Current observations:

  • Billing remains active

  • Postpay enabled

  • API Keys show Tier 1

  • Rate Limits page shows Tier 1

  • No billing suspension or failed payment

Billing account:
019BFB-185187-**** (partially hidden)

This does not appear to be expected behavior because the account had already reached Tier 2 previously.

Could someone help verify whether this is a backend tier recalculation issue?
