Hello Google AI Studio Team,
I need assistance with a GitHub OAuth/account binding issue in Google AI Studio.
My existing Google AI Studio account contains active projects/workspaces that I need to preserve exactly as they are.
Previously, this AI Studio account was connected to a GitHub account that I can no longer access. Because I cannot access the old GitHub account, I cannot revoke the old OAuth authorization from GitHub.
I now have a completely new GitHub account and need to connect AI Studio to this new GitHub account.
The problem is that Google AI Studio continues to retain/use the previous GitHub authentication/binding, and I cannot find a way in the AI Studio UI to completely disconnect or reset the old GitHub account.
What I need:
Please reset/clear/invalidate the old GitHub OAuth credentials or GitHub account binding associated with my Google AI Studio account on the Google side, so that AI Studio can initiate a fresh GitHub OAuth authorization with my new GitHub account.
Important:
- I do NOT want to delete my existing AI Studio projects.
- I do NOT want to create replacement AI Studio projects.
- I do NOT want to lose any project data, prompts, code, configuration, or workspace state.
- I do NOT want to migrate manually unless absolutely necessary.
- I only need the old GitHub authentication/binding removed so I can authorize the new GitHub account.
- After the reset, I need the normal GitHub two-way synchronization to work with the new account.
I understand that AI Studio supports two-way GitHub synchronization, and I want to continue using that functionality with my new GitHub account.
I can provide:
- AI Studio App/Workspace ID
- Google account information through an appropriate private support channel
- Screenshots or screen recording
- The new GitHub username
- Any other diagnostic information required
Please do not delete, recreate, or replace my existing AI Studio projects. I am specifically requesting a backend reset of the stale GitHub OAuth/account binding.
Thank you.
