I’m experiencing a very similar issue with the Stream Realtime features, also starting about 3 days ago .
However, the specific error I’m consistently getting is slightly different:

I click on Talk to gemini, Show gemini, or Share screen.

It shows “Connecting to server…” briefly.

It then immediately fails with the message “Connection failed”.
This happens every time now, whereas previously it might have taken a couple of tries but would eventually connect.
Like others, this is preventing progress. I’ve also tried the standard troubleshooting steps:

Hard refresh, clearing cache/cookies

Checking network / restarting router
-
Changing VPN/Firewall

Adding my experience here in case it helps identify a broader pattern of recent issues with Stream Realtime connectivity. Is anyone else seeing this specific immediate “Connection failed” error, distinct from the “something went wrong” message?
UPDATE / EDIT:
I just tested this again using Google Chrome and the Stream Realtime features (Talk to gemini, Show gemini, Share screen) are working correctly in that browser.
It appears the “Connection failed” issue I described above is specific to Microsoft Edge on my system. Hope this helps narrow down the potential cause.
I’m having the same issue on a Mac. I’m Using the latest version of Google Chrome, cleared all the cash, only two Chrome extensions enabled, no FireWall, 400MB connection speed and I either get “Connection Failed” or “Something went wrong” Sometimes I connect, only to have the conversation end after 30 seconds or so. Or, when I try to connect, it just tells me “Connection Failed”. I don’t have any other issues using live conversational platforms like “Modified by Moderator” or ChatGPT or anything else, only with AI Studio.
Would love to find the issue with this problem.
Facing the same error. Also API calls as well 1011. Gemini flash 2.0 for audio input and output has been really erratic lately. I know this is pre-GA but this is sub-par support even for pre-GA. It has been this way for more than 24 hr without any communication.
