Is Stitch Down Again?

For the last 18 hours, I’m getting this:

”Something unexpected happened, and Stitch couldn’t complete your generation. Please try again in a moment.”

Mac Air, M4, 16BG
United States

I do notice that we can see code again. Is a fix in progress?

I have the same issue, it only works when I create a new project

Still stuck. Tried to use a different browser and a different computer as well.

Tried:

  • Mac Air, Safari, Brave (cleared cache, reboot, restarted browser)
  • Stock Chromebook, Chrome (cleared cache, restarted)

I am able to create a new project, but I cannot work with an existing one or edit in any way. I am also unable to duplicate projects to start fresh with what I have. I have tried all 4 model modes with the prompt: “Add a clean new app page to this project”, and still get the:

”Something unexpected happened, and Stitch couldn’t complete your generation. Please try again in a moment.”

Hey @Lenny, we are truly sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. We’ve had a recent outage, and it seems some users are still encountering this issue. Our team is working hard on a permanent fix. In the meantime, this temporary error often resolves itself after a few minutes or a page refresh. I’ve added your details to our tracker. As a workaround, I suggest downloading the project, opening a new one, and using the original as an reference with your existing prompts. Thanks for your patience!

Appreciate the extra info. I’m adding them to our ticket now to strengthen the report and provide the team with more context for the fix

@Mohamed_Hesham2 Could you please try these steps as well and let me know if they make a difference? Looking forward to hearing about your progress. Thanks!

I only see this error with a project that has a lot of designs and a long chat, and I have been trying for the past 2 or 3 days, but it never worked.

Downloading the project and using it in a new project works, but if I ask for a small change it changes the whole design even if I said explicitly to only make the change I asked for and nothing more

How do I reference the existing project? I can see how to start a new one, but I don’t see an “import”-like feature to transition to the new one. thanks for responding

Hi @Lenny thanks for reaching out! To clarify my point about referencing the older project: simply download your project and unzip the folder on your computer. You can then upload those .png images into a new project and use them as image references alongside your prompts. I hope this makes the process clearer!

Hi @Mohamed_Hesham2 so sorry you’re running into this. This is a major priority for us. Because the issue is multifaceted, our team is currently 100% dedicated to troubleshooting it. No ETA yet, but we’re pushing for a fix as fast as possible!
When requesting a change, do you reference the specific screen name, or do you describe the UI element within the prompt?
