I’ve been developing an app for days. I decided to save the app and make a copy. Saving (downloading and adding to github) worked fine but on creating a copy, all of the chat (prompts) disappeared in the original. And of course nothing, chat-wise, is transferred to the new app. I was developing this for a class on app development using AI Studio, so the prompts were key. Is it possible to retrieve please?
I would love to think you’re just overlooking it perhaps? However I am sure you’ve continuously dug through the history, etc yeah? I feel your pain, this MUST be retrieved.. Good luck <3

Please navigate to your Google Drive and locate the folder titled AI Studio,which serves as the designated directory for your saved session files. Within this folder, you can identify and access the file corresponding to your project to review your previous work and chat history.

Hi @Nireeksha_K_A - thank you for this. I did check there and have checked again. There is a history for the specific app but as I said earlier the chat was reset when I copied the app to make a v2. The current chat history is only there since the copy was made. I was flagging this as a bug as I didn’t delete the history - it was automatic when the app copy was made. Thanks again for replying. Apologies for the delayed response, and thank you for the information. Could you please confirm whether you accessed AI Studio from multiple browsers or an incognito/private window during development, and if so, whether any of those sessions still show the chat history from before the app was copied?
