Body: I am reporting a severe data loss/UI synchronization issue in Google AI Studio.
Context: I have been developing two complex applications over the past month (custom recognition manufacturing tools and US Army CYS projects) using my primary account. My browser profile was shared with a secondary Google account.
The Incident:
-
Suddenly, AI Studio lost all chat history and began labeling my authored apps as “Created by Others.”
-
I have since resolved the “Created by Others” permission issue by moving to a dedicated, fresh Chrome Profile and verifying that I am the owner of the
.promptfiles in Google Drive. -
The Persistent Issue: While I can now open my apps without permission errors, the Chat History (Prompts/Conversations) for these apps has completely vanished from the AI Studio sidebar and the internal app view.
Technical Details:
-
Drive Status: The app files exist in my
Google Drive > AI Studiofolder. -
Permissions: Verified as “Owner” for all files.
-
Browser: Issue persists across a fresh Chrome Profile and Incognito Mode.
-
Impact: I have lost weeks of iterative prompt engineering and logic stored within those chat threads.
Request: Is there a back-end process to force AI Studio to re-sync or “re-read” the conversation metadata associated with these specific App IDs in my Drive? If the files are present in Drive but the history is empty in the UI, where is that disconnected state stored?
